Welcome to SubmittedLancer. By creating an account or using our platform, you agree to the following terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account and use SubmittedLancer.

2. Account responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Provide accurate information when registering and keep your details up to date.

3. Client and freelancer conduct

  • Clients agree to fund milestones fairly and provide clear project requirements.
  • Freelancers agree to deliver work honestly, accurately represent their skills, and communicate professionally.
  • Both parties agree not to take payments or communications outside the platform to circumvent fees or protections.

4. Payments and fees

SubmittedLancer facilitates payments through a secure escrow system. A service commission is deducted from transactions to support platform operations — commission rates are displayed transparently before you confirm any transaction.

5. Milestones and delivery

Funds for milestones are held in escrow until the client reviews and approves delivered work. Clients are expected to review deliveries and respond within a reasonable time. Freelancers are expected to deliver work matching the agreed project scope.

6. Refunds and disputes

Refunds and disputes are handled according to our Refund Policy. SubmittedLancer reserves the right to make a final decision on disputed orders based on the evidence provided.

7. Prohibited activities

You may not use SubmittedLancer to:

  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent project or gig listings.
  • Circumvent platform fees by arranging off-platform payments.
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
  • Upload content that infringes on intellectual property or violates applicable laws.
  • Attempt to manipulate reviews, bids, or platform systems.

8. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise agreed between client and freelancer, ownership of delivered work transfers to the client upon full payment. Freelancers retain the right to showcase completed work in their portfolio unless the client requests confidentiality.

9. Account suspension and termination

SubmittedLancer may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or pose a risk to other users. We aim to handle enforcement fairly and will notify users of action taken where possible.

10. Limitation of liability

SubmittedLancer acts as a platform connecting clients and freelancers. While we facilitate secure payments and provide dispute resolution, we are not responsible for the quality, legality, or outcome of work exchanged between users beyond our stated policies.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions periodically. Continued use of SubmittedLancer after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
